CINZIA DELORENZI
For about thirty years, she has been studying and researching in the field of somatic movement practice and dance. Specialized as an educator and therapist in this field, she has developed a practice and a pedagogical approach focused on nurturing the transformation process of both the artist and the individual.
Her professional journey began in the 1980s with Jazz Dance in France, continuing through the 1990s and 2000s as a performer and choreographer in the field of contemporary dance—particularly in collaboration with Giorgio Rossi, Raffaella Giordano, and as an Associated Artist with Associazione Sosta Palmizi.
Since 2009, her research has shifted primarily to natural and wild environments, both in solitude and through formative retreats in small communities, drawing on an experiential and interdisciplinary approach that is open and nourished by artistic exploration.
She develops her work in aquatic sites, marine environments, forests, and the Moroccan desert, placing the body as a medium within its environment, in a process of reconnection and transformation through deep listening to the living world. Central themes include embodiment, intersubjectivity, and inner inquiry—developed through subtle perceptual practices, somatic movement, touch, and both individual and collective creative processes.
In 2017, she founded the three-year training program RHIZOMA –
School of Somatic Movement Education in Nature with an Ecosomatic and Artistic orientation.
She is a certified Somatic Dance Educator, Somatic Movement Educator, and Somatic Movement Therapist by I.S.M.E.T.A.
She is a trainer of Danza Sensibile®, and a Somatic Movement Educator and Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering®with Leben (IT) and Soma (FR).
She has trained in Craniosacral Therapy, Shiatsu, Embodied Spirituality with Mike Boxhall, as well as in shamanism, voice anatomy, anatomical gesture, and movement analysis.
Danza Sensibile® by Claude Coldy and the Subtle Fundamental Movement developed by osteopaths Marie Guyon and Jean Louis Dupuy form a foundational layer of initiatory experiences that deeply inform her work.
